Hi,

This just started happening out of the blue? You weren't using your oven or using the self-clean cycle?

F7 is a EOC(electronic oven/clock control) failure.

Here's the one for your model:
Manufacturer part#316207600 is RepairClinic item#937801

Check your owners manual, some models have up to a 5 yr. parts warranty on electronic parts.

Default Frigidaire Model PLEF398ACA - F7 Indicator Message

Jake,

Thanks for the confirmation. That is what I suspected after checking your link to the tables of fault codes. I just wanted to make sure before ordering the replacement.

To answer your question, yes, it did start happening out of the blue. In the middle of the night the beeping started at random. Then in the morning, it went crazy beeping and flashing F7. We had not used the stove nor the oven for about two days. We had not run a cleaning cyle in quite a while either.

I checked the manual and the 5 year warranty is only applicable to the glass smoothtop, seal and heating elements for this model.

Thanks for the link to the part. I have ordered from them before and they have extremely quick service.

Thanks again!

jtchief
