Default New Frigidaire Wall oven/microwave combo GLEB27M9FBC

We're getting our house ready to sell, and found this at a Sears outlet with supposed cosmetic damage, but found nothing visibly wrong. We installed today, and had to make some pretty drastic cuts for it to fit. It looks great, but I just turned it on for its maiden voyage, and while operating (preheat and bake) it makes a rattling noise. What can we do?

Hi Lisa,

Can you pinpoint where the rattling is coming from? Inside the the oven? underneath the oven?

I *think* it seems to be coming from the top right hand portion of the oven. Almost like it's coming from the paneled area between the top of the oven and bottom of the microwave. Every time I turn on bake or preheat or convection bake. Really, any time the oven's heating, it's noisy. Late last night, I tried again, and for the first 5 minutes or so, it wasn't making any noise. Then it started again.

Wow, I'm having a hard time seeing how 108 and 108A fit into the oven. From the diagram, it looks like it's a microwave component. Am I wrong?

No, its below the microwave and above the oven, like where you hear the sound, disassembly may be tricky if you've never opened one up before.

I'd suggest calling Sears to come out under warranty to fix it for you for free.

Even though you bought it with cosmetic damage, it still has a full warranty on all the inner working parts inside.
