Default Wall Oven will not heat

Hello,

I am trying to repair a Frigidaire wall oven for a few days now and I was hoping you might be able to point me in the righ direction. Model# GLEB27S7CBB. The elements will not heat up whether on broil, convection or bake. I replaced the clock/control module with the same results. The unit is about 5 years old.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hi,

Its possible your thermal fuse in the back of your oven is blown. You would need to turn the breaker off to your oven, then get someone to help you pull it out from the wall, then take off the back access panel and ohm out that thermal fuse for continuity with a ohm meter, you can get a cheap volt/ohm meter at Radio Shack.

Here's the location of your thermal fuse in the back of your oven, its #119 here:

Here's the thermal fuse for your model:
Manufacturer part#318004900 is RepairClinic item#499302

Its currently out of stock at RepairClinic, but in stock here:
Manufacturer's Number: 318004900 - Thermal fuse switch

Unhappy

Thnaks for the recommendation. I swapped the thermal fuse with another one with the same results. I hear a clicking sound every few minutes but the temp stays at 100 F and there is no heat. There are 3 relays next to the panel could one of them be bad? I a looking at a new oven at this time?

You really would need a volt/ohm meter to test voltage from the clock/oven control board.

9 times out of 10 the problem is either the clock/oven control board:
Manufacturer part number 318010700 is RepairClinic item number 499452

OR

the thermal fuse switch.

That other relay near the clock/oven control board is just for the convection fan motor and light.

I always first test for 240 volts were the power comes in to the terminal block, I've seen instances where I was only getting 120 volts across the 2 outer terminals on the power terminal block, that would cause it to not heat at all either. That would be a breaker/wiring problem to the oven in your home.

If everything checks good, then its likely a more technical underlying problem which would require a Frigidaire tech. to come out to see whats going on.

So if you plan on using this for the upcoming holidays then you may be safer to go with a new oven, unless you can have a tech. come out very quickly and order the part it needs quickly and hope it solves it.
