Question Frigidaire Oven Self Cleaning Cycle

I have read a few other threads, but I think this one is unique. I start the self clean cycle, (I removed the back panel) and watched the limit switch get made for the door lock. Then a about 30 seconds into the cycle, it bails out! The door unlocks and F9 comes up. I open the door and there is definately heat there. I don't know if is a watchdog thing or a temp. probe?

F9 is not listed in your codes.

Model CFEF372BC2
Serial NF40419563

Any ideas.
Thankls in advance!!

Buggy

Since this is a Canadian model, we have no information on your range.

You can message jeff1 here, he may know, he lives and has a appliance repair shop in Canada.

Thumbs up F9 error code

I had the exact same thing happen. I found a latch about 3/4 to 1 inch long which sticks out from the top of the oven (facing towards you when you look at the oven) which is shaped like an L. If you open the oven door, look at the metal plate at the top of the oven (not inside the oven but on the piece which faces towards you at the top). The L shaped piece was turned to the side (about the 11 o'clock angle). When I turned the metal L piece so that it faced upwards (so that the L piece was faced towards 12 o'clock), then it corrected the problem. Good luck.

I was searching for a way to fix the F9 error and found this thread, I tried what Sharon H suggested and bingo! it worked. Just turn the L shaped metal piece ever so slightly and then the beeping will stop and you're good to go. I'm glad I found this thread or else I would be up the creek. Thanks so much!
