I have acquired an ISE PRO-333-0 1/2 HP disposal. Its discharge pipe was broken at the flange & there was much corrosion at the connection site. A new discharge pipe with the gasket kit includes both a rubber & plastic/nylon gasket. The rubber one is obviously required; however, the addition of the nylon one appears to put undue pressure on the entire system (it even causes the metal clamping "flange" to bend when tightened to a normal parallel position).
Should both the rubber & nylon gaskets be used together or is the nylon one used in some other style of connection? It only had the rubber gasket on it when I took it apart, but that one had not done such a good job. That's what really prompts the question as to whether or not to incorporate the second gasket - what appeared to be some issues with the previous gasket. As always, any comments are most appreciated. You guys are a great help - hope this is my last request for help for a while - found the site a week ago & already three threads! Thanks again for the great inputs. Dick |

I'm not sure on that, i would have to look at it to see, as i rarely do garbage disposal plumbing, except to hook up the dishwasher drain hose to them.
