Default Fill Valve hose

Hello!

My GE dishwasher is not filling with water and I suspect the fill valve. I took it off and cleaned it out (the hose and screen were a little clogged). However, when I was removing the fill valve, the rubber hose going from the valve to the dishwasher disconnected. I can't find where it is supposed to connect to the dishwasher. I assume it needs to go in by the pump assembly somewhere, but am unable to find where. Can anyone direct me in the right direction, or provide a picture that would help? Thanks for any help you can offer!!

Thanks for the quick reply. So does it hook into the pump directly? I've looked all around and can't see anywhere for it to plug in.

No,If you open the door, look on the left side near the bottom and you'll see where the water comes in. On the oppisite side you'll see a plastic flume attached. the hose connects to that flume at the top.

Yeah, I just took it off to take a picture. Thanks so much!! I never would have guess that water comes in through there. Now, I've got it back together, but it is still not filling. I've checked the fill valve and the solenoid looks good (getting a reading of 1.12 on a 20k Ohm setting) but am not getting any voltage to the fill valve. I checked the switch and I get an ohm reading when the switch activates, but then it goes back to zero. Is that normal? I also checked the drain solenoid, which is the one under the pump, correct? I get a reading when i first touch the contacts, but then it goes back to about 0.18. Does this make sense? Is it the drain solenoid that's causing the problem? Thanks for the help!!

Set your meter to VAC. Take the two wires off of the fill valve and connect them to your two meter probes. Start the dishwasher on normal cycle. G.E. dishwashers usualy have a 1 minute drain before it starts the fill cycle. See if you get 110 VAC. Make sure you have the float in the float tube. If you have the correct voltage, the valve is probably bad. If you don't get the correct voltage , check the float switch. It should read closed with the float installed.

Alright, I am not getting any voltage at the fill valve, letting it run for about two minutes. What do you mean by the float switch reading closed? Could you clarify that? Thanks again for your quick reply!!
