Default How do I get the knob off the dood lock bar to check the timer

I am a guy that has poor eye sight and I cannot see under the knob on the door locking bar to see how it comes off. The soap dispenser will not physiacally close and I want to get in and am not smart enough to figure out how to get that little knob off to get to the good stuff.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you right. If you are trying to get to the soap dispenser, you need to seperate the door. If this is a GE brand, most will come apart by removing the screws on the inside of the door on each side and along the top. If this is not the case I will need the model number.

Question Door latch lever

I have a white knob on the lever that locks the washer door closed so it can operate. I know you have to remove the screws inside to get at the timer. On one machine I can see a screw inside this knob/handle. On this dishwasher no screw or easy way to remove. The inside back is connected to the lever and the knob does not allow the inner back of the door to be removed

How about the model number, and I'll try to look it up, although I have hard time with Canadian model numbers.

We have a hard time in the lower 48 looking up Canadian model numbers. How old is the machine? I seem to remember a small phillips on older models but on newer models it could also be a small torx screw. Jake might know. Can you take a digital picture of it?

Default Removal of knob

Hello Rick
I tried torx and every other philips/robinson /spline etc. I think I will just break the darn thing and buy a new one. Thanks for looking. The serial # says it is a 97 build the receipt in the cupboard says bought in 99. I think a new knob is the easiest way out so I get to the real problem that is the soap dispenser will not close. Tried all the Off position etc. but have to get inside.
Thanks for your help
Norm
