Unhappy GE Nautilus Dishwasher GSD2200G00BB would not drain

I have a 4-year old GE dishwasher. Recently, I have noticed a significant amount of bubbles from the detergent and also water would leak through the door during washing. After the washing is completed, full amount of water would be left in the tub undrained. I checked the air gap and its hose to the garbage disposal and no clog was found anyway. Please help. Thanks.

Sounds like your using to much detergent.

Do you use liquid or powder?

Unhappy

Hi Jake,

I use liquid detergent, and I have been using the same amount for the last 4-year. May I know how should I proceed next? I wish I have a service manual for further troubleshooting. Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate your input.

William

It sounds very simple, switch to powder and use less. The reason its not draining properly is the bubbles interfere with the pump, and the pump trying to suck the bubbles out and not the water.

Flush your dishwasher out, run some empty loads with no detergent, and see if it starts to drain the water all the way.

Does it drain at all even before the last drain?

If it still doesn't then its likely you will need a new Pump and motor assembly
