Default Ge Wvsr1060a1ww No Spin Cycle

Everything seems to work fine--agitation, draining, but when it gets to spin cycle the machine continues to drain---you hear the sucking sound and the spin cycle doesn't engage---UNLESS-- I undo the front panel and disconnect a clear half inch tube/hose where it connects to the base of the washer basket and blow in it--then this seems to activate a switch and it spins. Does anyone know what switch I need to replace---where it is located--how I do it--and what that switch might be---catalogue number, etc---?

The switch that hose is connected to is the pressure switch. That switch might be bad.

Default pressure switch

Is this difficult to repair---and would you know the part number off hand--the repairman gave me this part number--for the water level switch--26-363-wh12x10065---but I cannot find this part and that seems to be different from what you describe---(he didn't seem to know what he was talking about--he wanted to replace the belt at first)

This is an easy repair. The part# WH12X10065

There are only 3 wires and 1 or 2 screws. It's the switch to adjust water level.

Default pressure switch

Well, I got a new pressure switch and installed it---but I still have the same problem---and if I detach the hose from the drum that is all it takes to get the spin cycle to start----so any ideas on what I might do now?

You need to clean out the bulb on the tub where the hose connects. You migh have to remove the inner tub and clean out the scale.

Default cleaning bulb

Wow that sounds really complicated---is it easy to take the tub out?

Default is there another way to clean this?

Could I not use pipe cleaners or something---this seems rather complicated ---also it seems as though the water level switch wasn't the problem after all?

Default water level switch

If the spin cycle is activated after I disconnected the tube from the tub wouldn't that indicate that the switch is working fine and that it has something to do with the level inside the tub---
