Default GE Prodigy

Hey everyone,

I got a relatively new washer and dryer set from a buddy of mine who didn't feel like putting in the time and effort to fix them. The washer needs a new transmission, the dryer is what i'd like some help on. I was using it for about a week, when it just stopped working. It doesn't turn on, doesn't make any noise. Is there a good starting place to see what's wrong. I have already checked the outlet with a multi-meter and it's working fine. The model number for the dryer is DPSR405EA1WW

Hi,

Here's the parts diagram for your model:
DPSR405EA1WW
Diagram#2 Part location#507 is your thermal fuse.
Diagram#4 Part location#803 is your belt switch.


I found first use an ohm meter to ohm your thermal fuse for continuity. If that tests good then ohm your belt switch for continuity.
