Default Hotpoint range burners not working

I have an old hotpoint range, and the large burner stopped working. I know I could replace it with another burner, but I am unsure if that is the reason that it quit working. Will replacing it do the trick? Or did something fail deeper inside the range?

Thanks!

Default

Whats the model# of your range? Its located on the bottom frame behind your storage drawer or when you open the oven door.

You would need a volt meter to test if your getting 240 volts to that burner. You can get a cheap volt meter at Radio Shack.
