Unhappy GE wall oven latch lock help

can anybody please advise?

i have a GE double oven model # JKP44G0P1BG and the upper oven door is open and the lock assy is closed and on the display it says LOCK how can i unlock the oven lock to be able to close the door properly

You'll need to pull the oven out a little from the wall, then take off the console to get access to that lock/latch motor, its likely the switch on it is stuck.

Here's the lock/latch motor assembly for your model:
Manufacturer part#WB26K5030 is Repair Clinic item#253901
WB26K5030

Make sure the breaker to the oven is off first before you open the console.

what i already figured out meanwhile is that i left the oven with self clean (to run a full clean cycle) and after the cycle finished and i cooled off it got unlocked
