Default GE Triton GSD5500G03BB

Hi

I have a approx 3.5 year old GE Triton GSD5500G03BB dishwasher. Today, I saw the wash cycle continue for over an hour or two (with 2 sensor lights on the control panel lit green - WASHING and SANTIZED - ON at the same time when I looked at it). I could hear the water moving.

I pulled the lever that closes the front door, to the left to shut the cycle and open the door. There was hot water inside and the dishes were clean.

After 5 minutes, I closed the door, pulled the lever to the right. The machine started on again. This time the sensor lights on SIMULTANEOUSLY were - RINSING and SANTIZED. After a few minutes, it went back to WASHING and SANTIZED simultaneously. At this point, I shut off the cycle by pulling the door lever to the right.

I let it sit for a few hours and then opened the door again. There is about 2 inches of water sitting in the tub. This water has now been sitting there over 6-7 hours.

I cannot see any water leakage in front. The drain from the dishwasher goes into the garbage disposal. The water in the kitchen sink drains fine and the garbage disposal is working. I cannot see any leaks where the drain pipe from the dishwasher connects to the garbage dispoal either.

Can you advise on what the problem here is and how it can be fixed.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes, you will need a new module control.

Here's the one for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part#WD21X10240 is RepairClinic item#1174062
WD21X10240

It should come with instructions.

Jake
