model wvsr1060a1ww serial number mz921600g GE top loading washing machine has been making a loud noise while spinning for quite some time. it broke one of the tub hangar supports a year ago and I replaced that but the noise continued. this afternoon after I started a load of clothes....I could hear a humming noise. the agitator was not working. and it will not spin either. it pumps out the water and will put water in.....just not agitate or spin.

transmission issue? cost?

Did you take off the front panel to check and see if your motor was turning the belt for the agitate and spin cycles?
