My dishwasher door won't catch onto the latch. All the racks are properly in place so it's not a matter of something sticking out to prevent the door from closing. When the door is open, we can see that the latch on the dishwasher is resting on the bottom. Is this the proper position? What other parts should we inspect?

How old is your dishwasher? I haven't run across this latch style before, so unfortunately I wouldn't know what to tell you to check for.

GE Jim would probably know, but hes out of town for a couple weeks.

Possibly another tech. or member thats worked on this model can assist you.
