Question GE Profile Dishwasher leaks

I have a GE Profile dishwasher, model number GSD4330Z04WW, which is almost 10 years old. During the wash cycle, roughly 5 minutes into it, water begins to leak from (I believe) the Gate Valve Arm kit (see picture). The plastic piece attached to a spring drops down, and then the water leaks out. I am not sure if the water is draining out the the washer at this point in the cycle. Let me know what part needs replacing, and how I go about installing it. Thanks!

Hi,

Looks like your pump seal is leaking, but you would need to verify if its the pump seal itself or the flapper linkage in the pump, if its the flapper linkage then you would HAVE to get the complete pump assembly, as they don't make a repair seal kit for that.

I've always order the complete pump assembly for the ones I fixed, as ordering just the seal kit will take alot more time and labor, but if your not on a time schedule then you may want to get just the seal kit to save money, if its just leaking from your main pump seal.

Here's the complete pump assembly for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: WD26X10013

Here's just the pump seal kit:
Manufacturer's Number: WD19X10032

Here's a help link for you to install the pump seal kit:

Default verifying where leak is coming from

You mentioned I would need to verify if the leak is at the pump seal itself or the flapper linkage in the pump. Is there an easy way I can do that?
Thanks again!

Yes, get a flashlight and look underneath your dishwasher and run the dishwasher to pinpoint where its leaking from.

Default Finally getting around to fix leak

I have read the repair directions thread, but I have another question. Once I have disconnected power, hoses, etc. do I need to pull the dishwasher out from beneath the counter to access the cutter, etc? Or can I pull out the dishwasher first, then disconnect everything?
Thanks again!

If you have enough slack in your water supply line and electrical and drain hose, you may not even need to disconnect those when you pull your dishwasher out, but most of the time, there usually isn't enough slack.
