Default cooktop

I have a GE cook top about 2 years old and for no reason it will start clicking. Not sure which burner is doing it, but if you un plug it for a while and plug it back it does stop for a while. I have tried changing the sparkmodule already any ideas Thanks (GGP960SEA1SS LA767920Q)

Hi,

Please double check your model# That one doesn't show as good.

Usually when it clicks out of the blue its the igniter switch is out of place or broken.

By chance did you clean the exterior of your range with a dish cloth before this started happening? Lots of times your dish cloth will accidentally rub up against the knob burner switch and knock it out of place.

Ok, If you take off your burner knob#29 here:

Look down underneath it you will see your burner switch#323 here:

It goes on your gas valve stem#314 that feeds gas to your burner.

When you turn on your burner that switch moves with the knob and clicks when its in the lite position. Usually I find it comes out of place sometimes for whatever reason, thus it will click when its off out of the blue.

Just take the other burner knobs off and look how the other ones are mounted on and match it to those when the knob is off.
