Default GE WNSR2100T5WW is spinning while washing

My GE WNSR2100T5WW is spinning while aggitating. If i wait until it stopps and hold the basket i can keep it from spinning and it works normally (with me holding the basket). When I set it to spin out all the water and open the lid it just kept spinning (coasting) usually i hear a "clunk" and the basket will stop. Its not doing that now..

Any suggestions?

Hi,

You'll need a new transmission assembly, if your washer is less than 5 yrs. old the transmission is covered by GE, but you'd have to pay the labor to have it installed.

Here's the transmission assembly for your model:
Manufacturer part number WH38X10002 is RepairClinic item number 279566
WH38X10002

Here's the instructions on how to change it, if you need to:
