Question GSD2600G00BB Power Seems Good, No Mechanical Action

GE GSD2600GBB Nautilus

Dishwasher gave no indication of impending problem.
When cycle knob is turned no mechanical action happens within the washer.
- Incoming electric is good, tested with a voltmeter at 120.
- All components requiring power were checked for continuity
- Heating Element 13 Ohms
- Inlet Valve Solenoid 1000 Ohms
- Drain Valve Solenoid 2900 Ohms
- Motor 10 Ohms
- Float Switch good
- Timer Motor 2700 Ohms
- Selector Switches (all good)
- Door Switch good
Power is applied to washer when door is shut and latch is engaged.
Poured water (room temp) into dishwasher (3qts) and nothing happened.
Motor Fan rotates manually.
I am missing something, but I've exhausted my limited knowledge through internet research. I'm fairly fluent electrically so feel free to talk technical.
I hate to have to ask for help, but I'd like it even less if I had to drop several hundred dollars on a new washer
Thanks in advance.
/Jeff

Hi Jeff,

So is it completely dead silent when you try to start it? Or any humming sounds?

How when you try to drain it?

It won't even fill with water?

Sounds like the timer is bad.

Here's the cheapest timer I found for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: WD21X10155

WD21X10155

If you purchase parts from our links here and you install them and it doesn't fix the problem, you have a 30 day full refund when you return them.

Thanks for the quick reply Jake.

Nope - No humming, no filling and after I've added the water no draining. If I could track down a wiring diagram I might be able to tell if the timer is bad for sure.

Given the limited amount of parts that could cause a total system breakdown I'm going to give your suggesstion a try; especially given that great return policy!

I'll let you know if this solves the problem.

Thanks,

Jeff

Installed new timer and no joy...

Absolutely no response in washer with the exception of power being initiated througout system.

Do you know where I could track down a wiring diagram?

What could go wrong in a washer that would cause no mechanical response what so ever???

All wiring seems to be in good shape. Can any one failed component cause such an unresponsive system?

Hi Jeff,

No response from the dishwasher that your certain has power to it, indicates a bad door switch that you tested was good, the next would be the timer, but as you found out, thats not it.

Other than that, I'm not sure what would cause a "no response" issue, unless you have a broken hot or neutral wire somewhere in the dishwasher.

Unfortunately, GE doesn't provide online wiring diagrams.

You can return the timer for a full refund, then either have a tech. come out or buy a new dishwasher, especially if this one has alot of age on it.
