Thread: GE Profile Artica beeps & beeps & beeps & beeps

We bought a home with the side by side GE Profile Artica already installed. The Profile is three and a half years old. The problem is that the "door is open" alarm beeps when the door is NOT open. And the beeping is absolutely random --not regular at all. It beeps any time day and night, randomly beeping a couple times and then not beeping for hours. We've physically checked the door seal and it is in great shape - with no apparent damage or leakage that we can detect. The side by side doors are not perfectly level (which the manual states is a requirement) however, the manual states that the door alarm beep is caused by the door being open. Please help - it would be a sorry sham to pay hundreds of dollars for a repairman to come out and remove the noisy cricket from the beast! How do we stop this thing from beeping!
