GE Gas Dryer circa 1996, Model is DDSR475GT0WW, works fine in timed mode. If I use the automatic feature it sometimes works, but as the months go by it works less and less, it mostly races through the cycle very quickly, often in 10 minutes, requiring it to be started again.
Thinking it was the timer I replaced that first. No change. So hoping to be pointed to the most likely of the many other sensors that it has. Thanks for any advice. Paul |

Does it always dry good in timed dry? Not taking more than an hour to dry even heavy loads?
Its possibly the power control board, but its been discontinued. Power control board - no longer available - This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source for the part (Manufacturer part number WE4M233 is RepairClinic item number 276493.) ![]() Jake

It does dry normally on a timed dry. A full load of jeans is taking 70-80 minutes.
I've made sure it's clean of lint and the duct is a short straight unobstructed run to the outside. |

I should add that it takes that long on the medium setting. If on high it would be much less than an hour.

I don't see that part # 276493 in the parts list for my model, or anything that looks like that picture. Do you know where it is located in the dryer?

Its a 1996 model and its 13 years old now, if you replace the board, other parts are wearing as well, generally, its not a good idea to start throwing over $100 into a 13 year old dryer.
