Default [FIXED] GE front loader does not finish cycle

We have a GE WBVH6240FWW front load washer which is not completing its cycle. It will stop towards the end of the cycle with about 12 minutes more or less left; e.g. it happens near the end of the cycle. Is this a timer problem?

Does it does this on all cycles? Is there any water in the tub when it does this?

If you put it in just a drain/spin cycle will it do it as well?

Default GE front loader does not finish cycle

Jake,

Thanks for your time. Yes, it does it in the white, color, and short wash cycles. My wife says she hasn't used the other cycles. In the short cycle it stop around 9 minutes. Sometimes it will stop several times again later, like with a few minutes left. Also, stops at 1 minute left. Usually by pushing the start/pause button it continues on the cycle. Sometimes at 1 minute it makes a uuuu sound and won't continue. There is no water in the tub when this happens.

We just tested it in the drain/spin cycle and it completed it normally. We have never used this cycle before.

We did have the pump replaced about 2 months ago.

Thanks again,
Rich

Ok Rich,

Here's the repair manual for your model:
http://www.applianceblog.com/manuals...oad_Washer.pdf
I haven't run into this issue myself, but you can run the service test mode on page 51 to see if you can pinpoint the problem.

The error code is E22. T08 and 09 seem to work okay. Looks like it's the solenoid water valve? Have not had problems with water filling or draining.

Yes, that does seem odd that it says its the water inlet valve solenoid, unless the control board is false error code, which would seem to indicate a problem in the control board.

Here's the water inlet valve solenoid for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: WH13X10023

You can order this valve and install it, and if it doesn't solve the problem you can return it within 30 days for a full refund and then order the control board.

Here's the control board for your model:
Manufacturer part number WH12X10355 is RepairClinic item number 1264503
WH12X10355

Jake, thanks for the diagnosis. I may order both parts and return the one we don't need to save some shipping time/cost.

Jake,

Received the parts on Wednesday and got the water inlet valve installed today. So far, the washer is completing the whole cycle so that must have been the problem. I'll return the control board later after we run a few more loads to make sure the problem is gone.

Thanks for all your insight and help!

Rich
