Default older ge icemaker - heater stuck on

Hello Jake,
I have a side by side GE Ref. model - TFX25NRDA
The icemaker stopped making ice. When I stuck my hand in to check to see if there was ice in the makers tray I burnt my hand. I checked it an hour later and it was still hot! I pulled the full arm up to stop it.
Later, pulling the arm down cycled the icemaker and the fingers came to rest at 9 oclock. Gears look good. This time the heater shut off!
The icemaker in not electronic, I think it is a IM-3.
Do you have an online service manual for it?
Had this problem before?
Many thanks for your input.

Yes, I've seen this happen many times, its your ice maker thats bad, you will need a new ice maker.

You can't get separate ice maker parts for these anymore.

Here's the one for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part number WR30X10093 is RepairClinic item number 1399596
WR30X10093
