Default GE Built in Oven gas smell at start-up

I have a GE Built-in Gas Oven model JGRP17WEP. These are my first times using this oven. Shortly after turning the oven on - a minute or so -I smell natural gas. The smell does go away and the oven seems to light fine and warms up to temperature. Should I be worried about the gas smell? Is there an adjustment I can make?
Thanks,
Bman

Hi Bman,

Thats usually a sign that your oven igniter glow bar is going bad. Its located under your bottom oven panel.

Here's the cheapest oven/broil igniter glow bar I found for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: WB2X9154
