Default GE WPSR3100WOWW no spin, no agitate

The belt isn't frayed or burned. I can grab the pulley on the motor and turn it with belt fairly easily. When I turn it one way it spins, the other way it agitates. I can hear what sounds like power being sent to the motor for about 3 seconds then it stops (it never turns the pulley or output shaft on the motor). Maybe the motor is shot and tripping a switch? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it sounds like the motor may be the problem.

Had you tryed taking the belt off the motor pulley and see if the motor runs alone in agitate and spin?

Here is the motor/clutch assembly for your model:
Part#WH49X10035
2 Speed motor & clutch kit

I watched the actuall shaft coming off the motor with a flashlight and I'm pretty sure it didn't move. But I'll check it when I remove the belt to remove the motor.

Thanks,
Jeff

Well it looks like the motor is worn out to the point where it wouldn't turn with the belt on. It turned for a few seconds with the belt off then stopped. It got pretty hot. When it did turn I could easily stop the shaft with a pliers. Looks like it's time for a new washer.
