    Hi,

Pull the Ice bucket out and check the ice lever bar , move it up and down to check for cube jam, then with the ice bucket out, hold the freezer door open while you push the light switch in , then push the ice paddle in front on cubes first , then switch it to crushed, watch the solenoid raise and lower that craddle next to the ice dispenser motor to make sure it raises and lowers properly.

This is the area that Jake is talking about....

I am having the same issue. I verified the solenoid pulls the arm up. I verified the motor turning when the crushed ice is selected. However, I do not get the motor to turn in the cubed position.

Shouldn't the auger rotate for both settings?

    Hi,

Yes, the auger should turn on both cubed and crushed, If the motor is not turning in the cubed position, i would check that cubed position switch inside the dispenser panel with a Ohm meter for continuity.

It would help if you post your model# , because the olderrefrigerators are different from the newer ones, most newerones use computer boards now.

Don't know how old this is, but the older GE/Kenmore 363s had a circuit board in the dispenser that was a regular favourite for doing this kind of weird stuff. Like Jake says, we need a model number to see exactly what you have.

    Thanks for the quick responses!

    It's a GE TFX25ZPBB WW.

    Serial # DV283382.

I'll check that switch once I figure out how to disassemble the panel!

You have one of the older style GE SXS models - this is the board. It's a regular troublemaker on these, you should find a circuit diagram behind the grille beneath the doors. Go to RepairClinic.com, put in your model number (omit the space between BB and WW) and you'll get some diagrams showing an exploded view of the door. This board is a remarkably cheap (for GE parts!) $33. Buy from RepairClinic.com, and you can return it if it doesn't do the trick. No questions asked.

In the parts list it is actually called the "Module Time Delay".
