Default GE Profile Model 26 Drain Tube

    Model Number: pfsf6pkwabb
    Brand: GE

I have a GE Profile Model 26 Bottom Freezer. It is leaking water, seems like the drain tube is stopped up. According to GE website you have to call a repairman to fix this. Is this true? Anyone have answers on how to do this and is it that hard.
Appreciate any help you can give me

This is a newer GE I'm not familiar with, but basically all are the same when it comes to defrost drain water.

You would need to take everything out of the freezer, then remove the back panel assembly#36 here, then the defrost drain trough is #29 thats underneath the evaporator coil#27:

Then get a hair dryer and hot water to melt the ice thats likely clogging the defrost drain hole thats in the bottom middle of the drain trough.

Then run something down the drain hole.

I use a evaporator cooler spider snake:

They are used basically in Arizona to clean out the water pump tubes that run to the cooler pads.

I don't know if they would sell them in your area, but if you go to your local hardware store, they should have something similar to run down your drain to clean it completely out.

    Yes, same.

Yes, from the diagram on yours and it looked more difficult to take off, due to more stuff thats attached to it. So if you don't feel confident in doing it yourself, by all means call GE to come out and do it.
