Ge profile model
We cleaned the freezer friday night and now the freezer wont freeze and the top part wont cool...i can hear it running and i have unplugged it for about 15 min and it still wont cool or freeze. The digtail temp settings light only comes on when you unplug it and plug it back up. Can someone please help me with this issue.

Its possibly the motherboard. Look on the motherboard for any burnt spots on it.
Here's the motherboard for your model you can order:

You would need to pull your refrigerator out from the wall, its #801 here, just take the cover#843 off and you will see it(Unplug your refrigerator first):

I have looked at the motherboard and I don't see any burnt spots...could it be a
nything else I could check?

With the refrigerator pulled out from the wall, take the lower access panel off and feel the top of the compressor and see if its warm and vibrating, there should be a fan next to it, see if thats running as well.

I checked the comparessor and its hot, not super hot...so can this mean its the compressor that has gone?

I can't touch the top of the compressor, it's too hot...and the fan is not on At all...thd top of the compressor is too hot, but the middle of it is not...

Please don't use the quotes.
Is the compressor vibrating or just hot?
Nothing inside the freezer is cold at all? Is the freezer fan running? Do you hear it running in the freezer?
