GE Dryer problem
Ihave an electric GE dryer, model DRSR495EG8WW…Yesterday I pushed the startbutton, but only heard a low humming sound…the dryer did not start…drum willmove manually. I had not used the dryerfor approx. 24 hours prior. I alwaysclean lint screen after every use. Iunplugged, disconnected the duct from the dryer and vacuumed. Reconnected duct and plugged back, still onlyheard a low humming sound when I pushed the start button. Today I was going to attempt to hold in thedoor switch, push the start button, and manually turn the drum, BUT before Iattempted I plugged it in and pushed the start button and it startedworking. Is the motor going bad? Or didit just have too much dust or lint accumulation?>

Both, either is possible. Defiently worth cleaning the inside and motor area just incase some lint or such is getting caught in the motor...but defiently start saving towards a possible motor failure!
