Ge Microwave Night Light out
Brand:
GE
Age:
6-10 years
Night Light out. I replaced Bulbs, also replaced Control Panel with another Microwave. Put in another set of Bulbs, still can't get it to light. The inside light and all other functions work fine. Just the lower night light fails. Any other Ideas.

Try pressing "Auto Night Light" then "0". Where is the nite light on your model?

Thanks Rick I tried that in the options, no good. The light is underneath the unit. Both bright and nite mode fails. You hear the relays clicking but no lights.

It's probably the relay on the control board that's faulty. Check for supply voltage going to the lights at the PCB between the orange wire and the brown/neutral wire. If you don't have a tech sheet I can draw you a diagram if needed.

I swapped out this board with another Working unit and the light still fails. What else could it be.

Nothing else, except the bulbs or sockets. Check the voltage to the light at the board. One side of the lights is connected to Neutral and L1 comes from the PCB.
