GE Dishwasher Beeps & Control Panel Does Not Respond
I have a new GE GLD4260L00SS Ser VH787810B Dishwasher that does not respond and beeps. The control panel is stuck on Heavy Wash and Heat Dry...these two lights flash and the dishwasher beeps every 30 seconds or so...I tried rebooting the dishwasher by turning off the main breaker (this has been done numerous times as well as leaving the main breaker off for 4 hours)...the tub was filled with water; however, I used a cup and sponge to remove most of the water.
The problem started when I started the dishwasher this morning and the next thing the washer was beeping. The control panel could not be reset. I called the GE Service Center but they will not be able to come till late next week.
Any ideas...?

You may have a bad control. Usually beeping and LEDs lit up signify an error code which can be decoded by the technician. If it's under warranty, let the tech come out. If it is not, let us know and we can do some research to find out what your code might mean.
Sponge and cup????? Time to buy a shop vac...lol
By the way, the "Help" line you call will tell you to remove power to try to reboot a control. In my years as an appliance tech, this has only worked one time..hehe
