Had the same ice dispenser problem like many previous postings. Ice maker produces ice to bucket, water dispenses just fine. Ice button selected on control pad, dispenser arm depressed, can unmistakenly hear solenoid activating (Clack) but no auger drive motor activity. Checked door switch & hinge connections. Replaced control board per tech support suggestion, no effect. (Wasted $59, can't return electronic parts to store). Anyone want to by a perfectly good control board (#946965)?
Got more agressive and pulled entire motor drive & solenoid housing. Inspection revealed auger motor totally encrusted with ice. Thawed out motor & housing assembly and re-installed. No result. Same symptoms exist. Will install new motor assy (880098) as a last resort unless the repair guru has a better suggestion. Please advise. BH |

Remember if you buy the part/parts from the links I give, you have a 30 day full return on that part.
So if you order this auger motor from this link I give and it doesn't solve the problem you will get a full refund within 30 days. Item#880098 Yes, this auger motor should fix the issue, but remember electrical testing is always required with a volt/ohm meter to make sure that parts are bad. Jake

Hi. I have the same problem and even did a bit more troubleshooting in that I also removed the auger motor. It was 120 volts so I hooked it directly up to AC and it worked fine. I also bought the control panel and it did not fix the problem. I took the switch out and checked it out with a ohm meter and it was working fine. So the control panel, switch and motor all seem to be fine. I tried to check to see if it was getting 120 V to the motor from the wiring in the top right back corner of the freezer. While I did not get the 120V, I am not sure I checked it correctly or had all interlocks "bypassed". The mother board on the back might be the next step?? Any ideas?

Check for broken wires where they go thru the door hinge area.

Thanks for the idea. I checked and while I can't see fully, I do not see any chafing, breakage, or pinched wires. I think the motherboard is next.
