Default GE Monogram side by side leaking at bottom right of door?

Hello all -

I have a 48" built-in side-by-side model ZISS480DRSS. When it was first temporarily intstalled a few months ago (we are remodeling) we had a couple of really minor drips at the bottom right hand side of the unit at the front - small patches of water left on the floor - but the problem stopped in a few days.

We just moved the fridge into its final position (no more than a few inches from where it was) and shimmed/leveled it and now there is water regularly gathering at the bottom right-hand corner of the unit, on top of the bracket that supports the door. If anything the right hand side of the unit is now higher than it was as we only shimmed on that side. I thought it might be condensation from the chill basket at the bottom of the refridgerator so I switched that off (so it is now just a passive regular basket). I wiped out under that basket yesterday evening as there was a little water there on the floor of the refridgerator. I checked again this morning and water is still showing up on the bracket but the bottom pans of the refridgerator and the freezer are dry. I have a plastic bag and some paper underneath it to catch the water so the floors don't get trashed. The water is clear and seems fresh (yes I tasted it ).

Any ideas? As the water is appearing at the opposite end of the unit from the freezer I'm not sure it's anything to do with the drain plug (which I have read about but haven't even been able to locate on this unit!). Is it just the result of the unit being moved and things should settle down in a few days? Has condensation or some other water gathered in some secret area under the refridgerator/freezer floor and it's just now making its way out? All help appreciated!

The rest of the unit appears to work fine and there are no apparent leaks inside or under the fridge from the water line. The temperatures seem reasonably consistent although the compressor makes some interesting noises for a few seconds when I close the freezer.

Thanks for any help.

You will need to get a step ladder and take off the top access panel, more than likely your water supply line connection to your inlet water valve is dripping, just tightened it up with a wrench.

Jake - thanks I'll take a look. By the top panel you mean the main casing panel for the unit not just the flip-up stainless steel cover that covers the compressor etc. area?

Yes, it should be the flip-up stainless steel cover, most water inlet valves on these built-in refrigerators are located on the left side of the compressor.

That's why I avoid moving a fridge at all costs. Lines start leaking, especially copper compression fittings.
