ice dispenser flap
I have a GE Profile Model TPX21BRXD BB, about 10 years old. The ice maker sends ice down to the dispenser, but the flap doesn't open enough to allow the ice to drop into a glass. Work-around is to stick finger up and hold flap open while ice drops into hand. Is there an easy fix? Repair person said it would cost hundreds to fix, and said to check if GE had a recall on the unit.
