Default The freezer fan keeps cycling on and off
Hi I have a 2004 GE side by side refrigerator with ice cube maker. The freezer fan has been cycling what seems to be on and off or fast and slow about every few seconds .The freezer seems to be still functioning properly. It only started happening in the last few months. Is this normal?

Have you ever noticed it doing this before? Does it seem to do it with the freezer door open or closed?

Default Freezer Fan problem
Thanks for the reply. The fan does this when the door is open or closed. Even with the door closed I can hear the fan winning up and slowing down. It started about a month or two ago.

Default Freezer fan problems
The model is a GE Profile # PSS26MSTCSS, I have had the unit since 2004. It has the a ice maker and water tap.

Either your fan motor is going bad or your motherboard is acting up.
