Ever since I bought my PSHF6TGXBB SxS in Nov 2008, it's made a peculiar sound every 10-15 sec or so, which is in addition to the constant high-pitch whine it emits whenever the compressor runs. This periodic sound is a rather piercing high-pitched whine that descends in pitch and volume, lasts about 2 sec, and repeats every 10-15 sec. It reminds me of the whistling sound an incoming shell makes in old war movies. In a quiet house, it's easily audible 50 ft away, around a corner and down a hall into a bedroom.

Could this be the "wind" or "howling" noise you guys have been talking about, and if not, any ideas what it might be?
