Default GE Electric Dryer too hot when using auto-dry

Hi Folks,

I have a GE electric dryer similar to this guy in this picture

Currently if I select the auto-cotton (using preferred setting) it appears to really get the clothes way past dry and really hot. I'm wondering if its the moisture sensor that needs to be cleaned? If so how would I do that? The dryer does shut off fine and works on the timer great. Please let me know your thoughts. Perhaps I just need to set the auto more to the (-)?

Model PVXR353EB1WW (Canada)

Thanks.

More likely its a clogged exhaust vent, pull your dryer away from the wall and take off your exhaust vent and test dry a load to see.

HI Jake,

Thanks for the reply. The vents were cleaned about a month ago and there's plenty of air coming out of the dryer into the vent. It seems to dry the clothes fast, just the auto-dry seems to dry them really hot. I'm wondering if I need to turn the moisture level more towards moist.

Yes, then turn the moisture level more towards moist, and see if it helps.
