Thumbs down GE bottow freezer; fridge is warm

I've been reading thru your forums and have checked for a few common problems but am still stuck.

I have a GE Model # GBS22LBMACC, the freezer works fine (10 degrees) but the fridge is a toasty 48 degrees. I cleaned the dust off the coils underneath the bottom of the unit, and I checked the cooling coils in the back of the freezer and they look good (few tiny spots of ice but 99% frost/ice free). The fan that circulates the air in the freezer seems to blow around a lot of cold air, the fan in the back/outside is blowing around a lot of hot air. There is even cold air blowing out the vent in the fridge (the air seems to be about 35 degrees with the thermostat turned all the way to the coldest), but it must not be enough air or cold enough because it's always so warm in there. The doors seal fine.

What else do I need to check? Do I need to check the damper door between fridge and freezer and how would I get to that? Could it be the thermostat for the fridge?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

Hi,

Quote:

Not fine, should be 0ºF.

Not fine, should be completely covered with a thin layer of frost when running.
