In door ice dispenser flap will not close
I have an older model (TFX27EKC) GE side by side with ice and water in the door. The flap at the bottom of the in-door ice chute will not close automatically like it did before. Both the water and ice dispensers work, it's just the flap that doesn't close. I would appreciate any help that you can give me.

Most of the time on these older GE models the timer delay that makes the ice chute door close will wear out.

Ice chute flap
Jake, Oh no!!! I read some of the threads about ice door flaps and ordered a solenoid. I will return it and get the correct part. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know when I install it. Thanks so much for your advice......
