My house has 3 smoke alarms, all connected via the house's electrical. The one in the basement sometimes beeps for a split second, similar to how a battery operated smoke alarm would beep when the battery is low. It only happens sometimes though. What could cause this?

Have you tried replacing the batteries. It happened to me and it worked.
