Default Had to make a career change

hello all, well I really like this forum, I have been in Plumbing for 18 plus years, Journeyman level. In Jan. 08 I lost my job, I have had a hard time finding work in the plumbing field in Alabama. I am 49 and to old to move. At any rate I will start working for Appliance repair and installation co. I am looking forward to this very much. I also went back to trade school 10 years ago and got an Electronic degree, this will finally come in handy for me. I just want to be and learn as much as possible. I hope this will get me through 12-15 years until I retire.
Are there any appliance repair books, or other material I need to get to help me out in this transition period.
Any help would be appreicated
thanks

Good luck on your new career. I have been doing appliance repair for 40 years, with 35 years at GE and then retiring..I continue to work part time for a dealer near my house..I have learned a lot about the other brands from Jakes web site..Just get in here and search around and you can find the answer to just about every repair that needs to be done..Jim..

The boss says all major brands, so that is a rather wide varity isn't it?
Thanks, and I really like what I have seen on this site.
