We purchased a Superba Oven/Microwave combo back in 2002. We have been having issues with the meat probe indicator just appearing.
The meat probe indicator will decide to come on in the middle of cooking something and shuts down the oven. The worst part is it takes for ever to clear the indicator. We had a KitchenAid authorized technician look at it and his diagnosis was that the meat probe receptacle was dirty from grease, steam, etc.. The receptacle was replaced under warranty and within weeks this problem reappeared. Now, not only does it dispaly the meat probe indicator when using the oven, it will do it on its own when the oven is not in use. The authorized repair facility is insistant that the problem with the meat probe stems from a "Design Fault". Help please |
