Default KEBC147KSS06 Not Heating

I purchased this unit 2 months ago and after our first self cleaning cycle, the oven no longer heats. The temperature display reads the correct temp, but when I push Start, the display switches to LO and just blows cool air but never heats up. I have read several threads that lead me to believe that this problem is not an isolated one. With Thanksgiving coming up I have little hope of getting ours up and running before then, but what is a long term fix or work around for this problem manufacturers have created by marrying up highly sensitive electronic circuitry with high heat during a cleaning cycle?

Hi,

Make sure 1 of your 2 breakers aren't tripped first.

If your getting 240 to your oven and its still acting up, and its only 2 months old you will need to contact KitchenAid to have a tech. come out under warranty to fix it.

Jake

Default Thanks Jake

Thanks, Jake, for your response. The breakers were my first attempt at repair both to see if one was tripped but also to reboot the control panel of the oven. No luck on either. I have a tech coming, just not in time for Thanksgiving. But the good news is that my wife and daughters have decided that this will be one thanksgiving that will have interesting family memories. Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
