Default KSRA25FKSS00 Fridge Warm Freezer Cold Diffuser Question

I've read all of the various threads regarding this, and I'm a bit stumped with my situation.

My fridge is warm ~60F, Freezer is Cold, OverTemp sensor constantly going off. I checked the compressor fan, compressor and such and everything is working. I put my hand over the air vent on the top fridge shelf and there is very little air coming out of it, even when compressor is running. Nothing is blocking the lower or upper vents. Now the key difference with my situation. There is absolutely no icing, crystalization etc of any kind on either the back of the freezer or the diffuser itself. For this reason, I'm guessing that maybe the diffuser mechanism died.

In an effort to save food, I pulled the diffuser out of the slot so that cold air will naturally circulate for a bit to cool the fridge, but this is not a permanent solution, so I need to figure out what my problem is. Before pulling everything out of the freezer and taking off the back panel to look at those coils/fan, I'd like an opinion on whether that is worth my time given that there is no evidence of icing. Secondly, how can I test the diffuser with my multi-meter or whatever to make sure it is broken. In other words, do I have to have the compressor on and the door switch pushed in to get a reading?

Any thoughts and advice on where to go with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Yes, the problem is definitely your air diffuser. I've changed about 50 of these in the last 5 years.

Here's the air diffuser for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part number 2216112 is RepairClinic item number 907713

Right, this is what I sort of figured. But is there any way to definitely confirm this before ordering a $60 part that is currently backordered? In other words, the baffles in it are basically closed. I have lots of DC adapters. I could put a voltage across it (assuming I knew the correct amount and amps it would draw) to drive the servo to confirm it died.

I'm just worried that something on the main board that controls this could be the culprit, or a bad thermistor, etc. Just want to rule out everything before spending money on a part.

Or should I just defer to your skills and experience and call it a day?

Nope, theres no way that I know to test it.

Don't worry, It will fix it.

You can shop with confidence as all parts ordered from our site come with a 30 day full refund even if it was installed and didn't fix it.

Its not on back-order from the link I posted to it above.
