Default [FIXED] KUDS01DJSS0 Rinse Only light blinking

I've read many posts about this problem (enough to know it's pretty common with this model.) Most of the solutions I've read involve replacing the touchpad/control panel. However, I've also seen mentioned replacing the electronic control assembly. Since both of these items are fairly expensive, I don't want to replace them both if I don't have to.

So, here's my dishwasher's symptoms. It started with realizing the light was blinking non-stop and the machine would not respond. After reading some blogs, I opened the control panel, and after simply unplugging the wire ribbon from the control assembly and plugging it back in, it seemed to "reset" and would run through a whole cycle. Then, it started to stop in the middle of a cycle (at ~ 42 min). Manipulating the wire ribbon will temporarily reset it. But, then the blinking starts again. At this point, I'm just happy to make it to the "dry" cycle.

Any ideas about where to start would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

It sounds like its just your ribbon cable that needs to be replaced.

Here's the ribbon cable for your model you can order:

Default It's working again!

Hello,

I liked the idea of just buying the ribbon cable, but I feared continuing to have the same problem. Since a new touchpad/control panel includes the ribbon cable, I ordered a gray one to match from Repair Clinic.com (item # 922872 / part # 8531013).

Installed it tonight, and washed my first load of dishes non-stop since this all started about a month ago. Many thanks to this website. What a great source of information!
