Kitchenaid Superba Dishwasher Model KUDS01FLBT1 will not start
Hi:
I can get the lights next to each cycle to light up but when I press the start button nothing happens. Up until today I could usually get the light next to the cycle to blink indicating the dishwasher would start although sometimes it took many times pushing start. Today however there is no response. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Jenn,
We had a member with a similar problem and it was the ribbon cable that was bad and causing this. Here's that thread:
KitchenAid KUDP01FLSS3
Here's the ribbon cable for your model in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer's Number: 8524447

Sure Jenn,
Make sure you turn the breaker, in your home breaker box, off first to your dishwasher.
Then remove the screws from your console, they are located inside the door on the top, should be about 4-6 screws. On some models you have to remove the outer door panel as well, you will see the screws all around the inside door for your outer door panel.
Once the console is open you can get to the ribbon cable.

Jake:
OK...I am ready to install new ribbon thing. How do I get the control board(?) thing out so I can install new ribbon. I see where it gets connected but it runs out of the green board under the control board and then into the control board. I know these aren't the right names but hopefully you can follow me. I feel like I am so close to getting it but I don't want to snap off any of the plastic things holding everything in place.

You just need to unsnap the ribbon connector from the control board and the control panel user interface, then pull the ribbon cable out, and install the new ribbon cable.
