Default KUDP01FLWH1 won't stop running

Unit is about 5 years old and has worked great up until last week. It will start running as normal on any cycle but it will not every stop. It will seem to finish and then start up again. It will drain and appears to be heating but without manual intervention it will run for hours.

Any ideas before we call a repair guy?

So does it run the normal cycle for about 60-80 minutes, then start all over again by itself? Or does it runs for many hours without stopping at all?

Its likely a bad control board, if it just runs the normal 60-80 minutes, then starts all over again.

If its runs for hours in the same wash cycle without it draining and such then its likely a bad thermostat under your tub.

This is from Rick(redbeardnmt):
There is a small thermostat, about the size of a dime, held to the bottom of the tub with a metal bracket. You'll see it, it has two wires on it. Here's how to check it. Take the two wires off and jump them together. See if it goes through the cycle. If it does then replace the thermostat part# 661566.
