The door latch on our DW has lost it's spring. Closes and snaps tight but very mushy when door is open. At the same time the soap dispenser opens only when you open the door at the end of the cycle. Cycle seems to be operating properly incl heat. Seems to be a direct relationship latch to dispenser or do I have two seperate issues? Thanks.

You will need a new detergent dispenser for the lost its spring issue.

Here's the cheapest one I found for your model:

On your model you just remove the outer door panel by removing all those hex screws on the inner door. Then that panel slides up and out. Then you will have access to the detergent dispenser, you just remove all those little 3/16" screws around the dispenser and it comes out.

Thats normal, as when it opens in wash, it opens about 1/2 way which is enough for the spray arms to wash out of it. Then when you open your door after the cycle is complete it opens all the way.

Mine does the same as well, and been working great for 12 years.
