Default Kitchenaid dishwasher trips breaker

Our KUDS01IJBL0 dishwasher worked fine one day and the next day when we started a cycle it tripped the house breaker. It is the only thing on that breaker. After we reset the breaker it continued to trip when we hit the start button. I cant see anything or smell anything "fryed". What end should i start at? Thank you

Hi,

Thats very unusual, possibly the motor has grounded out.

Here's the motor assembly for your model in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer's Number: 8534942

8534942

Try hitting the cancel button instead and see if it still kicks your breaker.

Let me know what happens.

Jake
