Default Kitchenaid Superba Dishwash - white film on everything ...

The unit is about 6 years old - trouble free.

Nothing has changed with our water supply (don't have a hard water filter - never needed). I did read one post where it was suggested to use a rinse - up until now nothing was needed - just the Cascade product I've always used.

Any thoughts what's causing the glasses and frankly everything to come out clean but with a heavy film - and can a person with 10 thumbs work on it?

Finally the squeak when the door opens - saw a thread from several years ago that suggested silicone on the door pulley - still advise this?

Many many thanks... I have a full house tomorrow with a graduation in the family.

Hi,

Whats the model# of your dishwasher? Its located inside the dishwasher on the side of the door frame after you open it.

Sounds like you may need to order some dishwasher cleaner here:
Removes built-up soap scum and discoloration due to iron and other water impurities. Also works great in washing machines, porcelain sinks and porcelain tubs.
Glisten Dishwasher Cleaner and Deodorizer

For use with automatic dishwasher detergents. Prevents mineral build-up and removes cloudy film from glassware.
Glass Magic Performance Booster

For the squeak issue on the door, spray some silicon lubricate on the door hinges. You should be able to purchase that at any hardware store in your area.

Jake
